How backlit keyboards works
Backlit keyboards are computer keyboards with light shining underneath the keys.
The backlight enables the users to comfortably see the computer keys especially in the dark.
With the backlight feature you can use your computer in dark or low light conditions.

How do Backlight on the Keyboards Work
Each backlit keyboard is fitted with some LED bulbs on one end beneath the keys on a keyboard.
These bulbs produce a powerful light that is visible underneath all the keys.
For the keys to be visible in the dark, the keys have translucent letters, numbers and symbols. Also, all the keys have a translucent layer around each key.
How to Turn the Backlit Keyboard On and Off
You can use the default buttons on a laptop to turn the backlight on and off.

By pressing that button or button combination, you can effectively toggle the backlit keybaord on and off.
On most laptop you can only turn the backlight on and off. However, on some laptops, you can adjust the intensity of the backlight.
Keyboard Backlight Color
Most keyboard have white as the backlight color.
Some keyboard have three backlight colors appearing on different sections of the keyboards. They have three sets of LED bulbs that are turned on simultaneously giving off the the zoned light.
Some keyboard also offer the option of switching the color of the backlight.

On laptops, the keyboard’s backlight uses the inbuilt laptop battery that powers the laptop.
For backlit desktop keyboards, the backlight is gets it power through the wire connecting it to the desktop.
Wireless keyboards with backlight use their internal battery to light up the backlight. You can charge them of buy a new set of batteries when they run out of power.
